Bala Sanga

Bala Sanga was educated at the University of Jos and the Nigerian Law School. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria. Mr. Sanga is an alumni of the World Banks’s program on Integrity in Financial Markets and of Euro-Money’s School on International Financial Law.

His working experience includes Legal Officer with the legacy Savannah Bank Plc; Head of Corporate Secretariat with the legacy FSB International Bank Plc.; seconded Legal Officer with Audit Control and Expertise, Switzerland; Principal Staff Officer to the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission; Deputy Director of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit; Director of the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering; Project Officer (Anti-Corruption) with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime; and Attorney-General of Adamawa State.

As the lead prosecutor in the Process and Industrial Developments Limited claim of $9.6 billion, he led the team of prosecutors and devised the requisite strategy for the successful prosecution of the company.

He is Co-Author of two books, Unit Trust Schemes: Law & Practice and Bankruptcy: Law & Practice, as well as contributor to Manuals on Construction Financing and Project-Linked Loan Agreements.
